My name is Michael Blake, and I will be traveling in South Africa for the third summer in a row. I first came in 2008 on with a group of Duke students and professors on a project sponsored by Duke Engage. I returned in 2009 through Duke’s Service Opportunities in Leadership program. This summer, I have funding from the Benenson Award in the Arts at Duke. I will be working at the District Six Museum helping to run educational programming and manage the influx of tourists for the 2010 World Cup. Check back here to read about my summer experience.
